Caffeine you wonderful thing you.

Ok so we know that coffee tastes great, but that is not really the reason why you drink it every morning is it?

I don’t think so, and certainly not for us over at 18g. We love a great tasting cup in the morning but the real reason we are so obsessed is the feeling. A good coffee can make you feel great. And what is the cause of all this goodness???


You get that caffeine absorbed into the bloodstream it gets up to the brain and does some good work by blocking the neurotransmitter that makes you feel tired. So therefore you feel more awake and alert and can help you stay focused and productive throughout the day.

Well that’s what happens to us. 

But what else can that wonder drug caffeine do for us?

Well, in addition to making you feel more alert caffeine has been shown to have a bunch of other benefits too. Things like improving memory and cognitive function, which in turn makes it easier to learn things and retain information. It helps to boost metabolism and that will increase your energy levels and can help promote weight loss. But don't come to us if your not shedding the kilo's smashing down your coffee all day long, theres a few other factors at play for weight loss too

Of course as caffeine is a stimulant if you take too much (what too much coffee????? NEVER) it can have some side effects. Things like the jitters and even anxiety and insomnia. So the key then to getting the most out of your coffee is to find the right balance for you and when in the morning or arvo you need it to help you stay focussed and alert. And maybe avoid the cup before bedtime, just saying…
